VADER Nominated For Poland's FRYDERYK Award
February 9, 2005VADER's latest CD, "The Beast", has been nominated in the "Best Metal Album" category at the Fryderyk awards, which is one of the most prestigious music award shows in Poland.
In other news, VADER have achieved the following results in Polish Metal Hammer's annual readers' poll:
Band Of The Year - 2nd
Album Of The Year - 3rd (for "The Beast")
Musician Of The Year - 1st (for Peter)
Famous Person - 1st (for Peter)
Hit Of The Year - 2nd (for "Dark Transmission")
VADER will enter Hertz Studio in Bialystok in early July to record a brand new mini-CD under the working title of "The Art of War".
The CD will be produced by the Wieslawscy brothers and will contain "three extremely intense and fast cuts and one song in the vein of the band's typical style," according to a posting on the group's web site. "The Art of War" will also contain a special bonus video clip for the title track. "It's going to be something really new, unconventional and powerful, expect the unexpectable (the production itself has taken almost 5 months)!" reads a posting on the band's web site.
VADER fulfilled their contractual obligations to Metal Blade Records with the release of their most recent effort, "The Beast" (2004),and are currently negotiating with several labels about a new deal. An announcement regarding the group's new label home will be made soon.
